Two days after the spring equinox - spring is here! And so is Baseball - "Here" being Tokyo, where MLB is promoting an already madly popular game. The Red Sox are the defending "world" champions, whereas the Athletics look poised to put GM Billy Bean's "Moneyball" wizardry to the test with a roster of "who dats". Joe Blanton and Rich Harden will pitch for Oakland. Boston's Japanese pitcher, Daisuke Matsuzake, is not certain for either game, as his wife is due to give birth right at the time. Jon Lester is the other scheduled starter, and Josh Beckett will start game 2 if Dice-K is still bed-side. Let the games (and their infinite sub-plots) begin!
