The 2008/09 NBA season opens up in Boston where the Celtics will raise championship banner number 17 before playing the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference semi-finals that went seven games. That thrilling series will be remembered for the on court duel between Paul Pierce and LeBron James.
