Get set for gravity defying feats as this year's Vuelta a España opens for its 63rd edition in Granada. One of the three Grand Tours of Europe, the Tour of Spain will feature the formidable Angliru summit, renouned as one of the most gruelling climbs in road cycling. Climbers are rejoicing at the challenge, which includes five summit finishes and an uphill time trial. But it's really the mountain stage from the Pyrenees to Andorro that has the pros talking, likely to favour the likes of defending champ Denis Menchov, and home grown heroes such as runner up Carlos Sastre and Oscar Pereiro. 2007 Tour de France winner Alberto Contador and his team Astana make a feature appearance in the Tour, after being banned from racing in this year's Tour de France.
