Two crisis clubs meet at Eastlands both looking for wins to take off the building pressure. Manchester City seem to be in real trouble with doubts having emerged over the long term future of Thaksin Shinawatra and despite bidding for Ronaldinho at the beginning of the summer it appears as if City are now short of cash. To compound matters, Hughes' team were woeful at Villa Park as they lost 4-2 and but for the performance of Micah Richards would have lost by a lot more. Despite winning 2-1 against Wigan last weekend, Alan Curbishley is the favourite to be sacked and another win here would ease the pressure on the former Charlton boss.
