For many of Les Bleus, this tournament could mark the swansong of some incredible careers. Patrick Vieira, Lilian Thuram, Claude Makalele and Nicolas Anelka could be playing their final international tournament and they will want to go out on a high. Raymond Domenech has an abundance of young talent to choose from as well with Karim Benzema one of the most complete strikers in international football. Romania could not have wished for a harder group and they are tipped by many to finish bottom of Group C. But, in Adrian Mutu they have a talisman and they finished above Holland in their qualifying group.
