The Belgian champions from Liège will host the first leg against Liverpool. This third qualifying round should not be too demanding for Liverpool who have never lost an away leg at this stage of the competition. The pairing of Robbie Keane and Fernando Torres are expected to be a fierce tandem up front. Skipper Steven Gerrard is also expected to be back on the pitch after a recent thigh strain injury kept him sidelined. But Liverpool should not get to complacent against Liege because they beat Anderlecht last weekend in the Belgian Super Cup, and barely lost a game in their league last season.
