The MotoGP tour heads to the Far East for the annual Grand Prix of Japan at the Twin Ring Motegi race track. By Japanese standards the circuit is very flat and is 4.8 kilometers long. Due to its stop-start style it has not gone over well with some MotoGP riders who prefer a smoother riding experience. The current back-to-back champion is Italian Loris Capirossi who will be looking for his first victory of 2008.
