The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads back down to the Deep South for the AMP Energy 500 in Talladega, Alabama. This race will be using restrictor plates which will hinder the speed of the cars, but at the same time increase the safety of the drivers. Talladega Superspeedway will be the site of the event and is the largest oval track in the Sprint Cup Series and can seat over 175,000 screaming fans which only adds to the festive atmosphere. Racing superstar Jeff Gordon won here in 2007 and is always a crowd favorite.
