The countdown is on until the world famous 'three rallies in one' takes to the streets of Germany this August. The ADAC Rallye Deutschland is raced entirely on asphalt and is best renowned for its distinct and challenging circuit characteristics. Day one takes competitors through the narrow turns and tight hairpins of East Trier's vineyards, as a prelude to day two's "Panzerplatte" stage, where cars fly airborne over the Gina crest and wind perilously around the 'Hinkelstones', one meter high rocks ordinarily used for restraining military vehicles. The margin for error is minute, as Petter Solberg found out in 2004, but Frenchman Sebastien Loeb seems to have perfected that margin six years running now as his rivals struggle for the winning combination to dethrone the six-time Rallye Deutschland champ.
