The Blues are up 1-0 and head to Brisbanes Suncorp Stadium to face the Maroons in Origin II. Dominated by the N.S.W. side last time round the Queensland outfit will be changing things about abit, bringing in a more mobile squad. The other big change is Karmicheal Hunt, who is sent back to the bench following the return of Captain Darren Lockyer to the side. Although Lockyer is carrying the remains of his injury the effect he has on his teamates is huge and playing on his home turf will add that extra bite. The Blues have injury and suspension problems dampening their selection, bringing in the likes of Steve Turner and the return of Kurt Gidley. Mark Gasnier is still hoping to put on his no.3 jersey and overcome his injury in time. So, the scene maybe a little different than last and the squads changed up and down but Origin time is always the same hard hitting, exciting stuff we wait all year to see. Don`t miss out.

The Maroons, representing the state of Queensland, and the Blues, representing the state of New South Wales clash annually in a best-of-three series of rugby league matches in the Rugby League State of Origin. Tracing its history all the way back to 1908, the competition is now one of Australia's and the region's major sporting events. Since 1980, the players have been chosen to play for the state in which they played their first senior football. The series has built a reputation over the year's as a real slugfest, with some of the most intense rugby league matches played anywhere in the world.

It`s Origin time again as the Blues take on the Maroons in the first of the three-game thriller. New South Wales will be looking to reclaim the series after a run of successive losses. As always in the Origin series there are records to be broken and this one`s no different. Newcastle and Blues Captain Danny Buderus will break the great Brad Fritlers captaincy record if he takes the Blues all the way in his final season for the NSW team, and he`ll be hoping to do that with a win. The two surprise inclusions for the Blues are new boy, halfback Peter Wallace and old boy backrower Craig Fitzgibbon both hoping to have a good run-in and help their team to victory at the ANZ. Some big surprises in the Queensland outfit too with no room for the Titans Scott Prince and Karmicheal Hunt replacing injured captain Darren Lockyer. Meninga also hands deserved rookie places to Carl Webb and Storms big boy Israel Folau. Captain Cameron Smith will be dying to get his teeth into a series that has all the ingredients for a thrilling encounter.
