The buzz surrounding the 2008 Rogers Cup is the return of Serbian star Ana Ivanovic who won her first Tier I tournament here in 2006. Ivanovic is currently ranked No. 2 in the world and is an early favorite to regain her title. Originally known as the Canadian Championships, the Rogers Cup is one of the oldest women's tennis events on the WTA calendar and was first played in 1881. The players will battle it out on outdoor hard courts at Uniprix Stadium in Montreal, Canada.
