The Tennis Masters Cup is a tournament held annually at the end of each year, featuring the top eight players in the men's tennis world rankings. It differs from the other events on the men's tour in that the Tennis Masters Cup is not a straightforward knock-out tournament. The eight players are separated in two groups of four, and play three round-robin matches against each other in the group. The two players with the best records in each group proceed to the semi-finals, and the semi-final winners meet in the final.
