The indoor hard courts of Mar del Plata in Argentina host the final event of the year and the action has been thrilling. In the first match on Friday, Argentina's world No.11 David Nalbandian swept aside world No.12 David Ferrer 6-3 6-2 6-3 to give the hosts the lead, but there was a shock in the second match as Spain's Feliciano Lopez overcame Juan Martin del Potro with a four-set victory to level the tie. Yesterday saw a truly epic doubles encounter as Spaniards Lopez and Fernando Verdasco beat Nalbandian and Agustin Calleri 5-7 7-5 7-6 6-3 to give the Europeans a 2-1 lead going into today's final two singles rubbers.
