The world's top eight players converge on Shanghai for the Masters Cup. Rafael Nadal pulled out of the event earlier in the week, giving Frenchman Gilles Simon a crack at the $625,000 first prize - although that figure becomes $1.3m if anyone goes through the tournament undefeated. The final will be between Novak Djokovic and Nikolay Davydenko after Djokovic put out Simon 4-6 6-3 7-5 and Davydenko shocked Andy Murray with a 7-5 6-2 victory. The doubles final will be contested by Nestor/Zimonjic and Bryan/Bryan.
