Some of the world's top-ranked female tennis players will be gathered together in the California city of Carson for the East West Bank Classic. This tournament has a long and distinguished history dating back to 1971, when tennis legend Billie Jean King became the first champion. All of the matches take place on outdoor hard courts at the Home Depot Center. Ana Ivanovic of Serbia won here in 2007 and is currently the world's second ranked women's tennis player.
