The Sony Ericsson Open, often referred to as the "Fifth Grand Slam", is so important it has been designated mandatory by the WTA. The world's best women tennis players will battle it out in the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami, Florida. Not only is the tournament title and bragging rights on the line, but also a huge winner’s purse of $533,350 for the winner. Past winners include Kim Clijsters, Svetlana Kuznetsova, and Serena Williams.
